The Stull’s have continuously farmed on the Eighth Line Halton Hills since 1831. Rick, Sally, William, Samantha and Evan have been farming here since 1991. We raised sheep and cropped our farm for a number of years. Our oldest son William took an interest in 4H and participated in the Halton 4H sheep club. The sheep club got him interested in the beef club. And we purchased our first Angus calf from long time friend and neighbour Tom McDonald of Locust Grove. We got the Angus bug and started buying Angus cattle. It took some time to figure out what we appreciated most in cattle. From those early years only two cow families remain we culled very exstensively and now purchase cattle at very high standard. I have come to understand what I like to see in cattle and our breeding program reflects this. If you were to come to Upper Glen you would find functional cattle that look as good in the pasture field as they do in the show ring. Our goal is to be a consistant producer of seed stock that will excel in all conditions that a Canadian climate can throw at them. We have quiet cattle that we love the fact we can take visitors through our herd and be able walk through them touch them all. You will find we use mostly AI sires here but we also use our own bulls I think it is important to be brave enough to use your own bulls in your breeding program. You will find that we have a supply of semen from our own bulls as well. We do flush some cows when we think it would benefit the industry and our own herd. We are a very busy family between cattle, construction, hockey, curling, volunteer work for Central Ontario Angus and Ontario Angus Association  and a number of other kids sports. But we love to be busy and we love our Angus cattle and the people and places that we have seen and come to know because of them.
